I am originally from Wrightsville, a very small town in Johnson County located in middle Georgia. After graduating High School from Washington County I enlisted in the U.S. Army. After completing my time in the service I bounced around the state for a bit. I have lived in Dublin, Sandersville/Tennille, Columbus, Tifton, Augusta, and Statesboro among other places. All of this while owning and operating several small businesses including construction, landscaping, design, and distribution. Eventually I ended up in Ringgold Georgia where I met a beautiful woman named Savannah. Needless to say I never left. I now call that amazing woman my wife, we have two beautiful children, Wally and Claire who are truly the best of us both and constantly keep us on our toes. After marrying, and following the advice of several friends and family members I gave up running my own business and entered the Tax Assessors Profession. I can honestly say it is a decision I wish I had made years ago. I am currently serving as Deputy Chief Appraiser in The Gordon County Tax Assessors Office and truly enjoy my job. I have learned that this profession is one giant family. Through training, seminars, and GAAO events I have met, learned, and shared knowledge and information with some of the best and brightest individuals this business has to offer. From county counterparts, vendors, and from old to young I've never seen a profession more willing to share and contribute to the success of those around them. I am truly blessed to be involved with such an amazing profession and organization such as the GAAO. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for myself, our profession, and the GAAO. God Bless and GO DAWGS!
